There are three things that made me take this picture. One, I've always liked the Smurfit-Stone building. Two, I was in Chicago to take pictures of Millenium park and the bean. Three, my "theme" for the day was old and new architecture. In this area of Chicago you have extremely old buildings (like the Art Institute, built for the World's Fair) alongside new buildings, skyscrapers, and art like the "bean" (Cloud Gate) and the video tower fountains (Crown Fountain) I captured this contrast with the reflection of the old building in the bean.
Taken with my Canon EOS Elan IIe in color, then converted to B&W in Paint.NET. (I need to figure out how to lighten or increase the contrast in just the reflection so the older building is more easily seen.)
