While driving through Sleeping Giant Provincial Park, which is HUGE and consists mostly of gravel roads, we spotted this deer in the middle of the road, licking something. We never figured out what it was -perhaps salt or something? Anyway, Ed stopped and I got out with my camera and slowly walked towards it to take pictures. It was skiddish, but more interested in whatever was on the road. I had to make sounds to get it to even look at me after awhile.
Taken with my Canon EOS Elan IIe on auto, using Kodak 200 speed film. It was a sunny afternoon.
