Our second dive on St Thomas wasn't far from the first. It was actually just on the other side of the boat! A short swim brought us to this shipwreck that the guide said was a drug boat that was originally sunk by the coast guard in about 80 feet of water. Then a hurricane hurled it up on nearby Buck Island.
In reality we believe that it's the Cartanza Sr. - A World War I tramp steamer.
Whatever it is, it lies in about 40 feet of water just off of Buck Island in St Thomas. It's in 3 pieces, we toured all 3. This is the hull.
