Current Score: 141 (http://www.dirtroad.com/jeeprate.htm)

Okay, until May of 2003 My 1998 Wrangler SE (automatic) was completely stock. I completely broke the stock sway bars and damaged the steering stabilizer on my first REAL off-roading adventure back in October of 2001. I also took quite a bit of life out of the stock suspension up front.

I came back from that trip amazed at what my little vehicle could do. Unfortunately I wasn't as impressed with my tires. Those stock Wrangler AT's that got completely packed with mud about half-way through the trip, and I ended up slipping into every hole I tried to avoid. It was frustrating and really took away from the enjoyment of the last half of the day.

So what happened AFTER May of 2003? Well, the little Jeep's grown up. It got a 1 inch body lift from Performance Accessories, 31×10.5 inch ProComp Mud Terrain tires on 15 inch Rock Crawler Wheels, and new (unbroken) sway bars (quick disconnects from TeraFlex). I also have a new steering stabilizer from Old Man Emu. Now I just gotta get it back on the trail and see how it does…
