He wants to end the inconvenience of having to temporarily surrender a driver's license as bond upon being cited for a traffic violation. Instead, Kachiroubas will look to launch a pilot program that would allow drivers to use a credit card to post bond, rather than having to relinquish a vital form of personal identification.
Kachiroubas also will pursue allowing more access to circuit court clerk public records through the Internet, and examine allowing the public to process traffic tickets through e-mail rather than experience long waits at the circuit court clerk counter. He also will explore creating a field court in the Lisle/Naperville area.
He also intends to step up efforts to collect fines and intends to crack down on deadbeats behind in child-support payments.
