I have served as a judge in DuPage County for 17 years and have consistently been rated very highly by the attorneys who practice in the various courtrooms to which I have been assigned. I have served in a managerial position as Presiding Judge of the Law Division for more than 7 years and have participated in the administration of our court system. My judicial experience includes Traffic, Misdemeanor, Domestic Violence, Domestic Relations and Civil Law/Jury - Including the handling of hundreds of cases from filing through trial. I supervise our Court Annexed Mediation Program, as well as our Mandatory Arbitration Program. I have also been involved in judicial education for most of my career, serving as Chair of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Education from 2004-2007, and continue to ba an active member. This committee plans and implements the education opportunities for all state judges in Illinois, which includes producing and updating substantive benchbooks, producing seminars and evaluating out of state judicial educational programs. The committee is responsible for creating and implementing the mandatory 30 hour Education Conference that every judge in Illinois is required to attend every other year, as well as a bi-annual Advanced Judicial Academy for experienced judges,and an annual New Judge Seminar for newly appointed or elected judges. I am committed to the fair, efficient and economical resolution of disputes in this Circuit. My 17 years of judicial performance illustrates my love and respect for our justice system. I respectfully seek rention for another 6 year term and sincerely honor the trust that the electorate has given me throughout my judicial career.

List your three most significant accomplishments

1. Successful resolution of numerous civil cases through mediation - Giving the parties an opportunity to settle their emotional disputes in an efficient nonadversarial manner (win/win) and at a greatly reduced cost. 2. Daily handling of a large caseload with a calm and empathetic judical demeanor - giving each party (whether represented by counsel or pro se) an opportunity to be heard, and deciding important issues fairly, efficiently and according to the law. 3. Taking a leadership role in statewide judicial education, as well as volunteering to teach many sessions, and fully participating in the administration of our court system as a Presiding Judge and a member of our Executive Committee.

List your three most significant post-election goals.

1. Continue to expand alternate dispute opportunities in the DuPage County court system, including the expansion of my role as a mediator for my own, as well as my colleagues', difficult cases. 2. Maintain a high standard of judging on a day to day basis - constantly aware of the importance of displaying a calm and fair demeanor and constantly diligent in keeping up with the changing law so as to make fair and efficiant decisions. 3. Continue my leadershiop role in judicial education by teaching, updating benchbooks and planning seminars.
