Duties: I manage 10 servers and am the sole desktop support person for a satellite office of about 30 employees. Day-to-day I work with Windows 98, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server, Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition, Veritas Backup Exec, Norton Ghost, Exchange 5.5, and FaxFacts. I have also set up a SUS server to automate Windows Updates, and I've set up a Red Hat 9.0 machine to serve up internal websites such as my work log, and MRTG for monitoring network badwidth usage. Current project: upgrading from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000.

Crete-Monee School District:

Position: District Computer Technician
Supervisor: Beth Prindiville (708) 672-2604
Dates held: 9/1999 through 4/2001
Duties: I supervised and trained building technicians at 7 schools in the district, participated in the hiring of new building techs, and researched and made final decisions on all computer-related purchases. I also was responsible for primary network troubleshooting, performed some basic account management duties (Novel 4.11 and 5.0), and nuilt computers and servers as needed. In addition, I built and connected new computer labs, was responsible for any troubleshooting/repairs beyond the skill level of the building techs, and created and kept a parts/equipment inventory for all 8 locations. This position required me to work closely with administrators, principals, and staff to come up with creative, low-cost solutions to issues within the district.

Crete-Monee School District:

Position: Building Computer Technician

Dates held: 10/1998 through 9/1999
Duties: I routinely installed software both stand-alone and networked on a variety of Windows operating systems, was responsible for all hardware and network troubleshooting and repair for both Crete-Monee high school and Hickory elementary, trained users on equipment and software as necessary, and performed basic Novel administration for both schools.

Position: Computer Technician

Dates held: 10/1997 through 10/1998
Duties: I installed a variety of hardware and software for customers, used troubleshooting skills to diagnose problems with customers' computers, and was responsible for assisting in sales. I also performed some phone support. This position required me to work in a team environment learning from and sharing knowledge with my fellow techs.

Northwestern Software:

Position: Secretary/Receptionist/Computer Tech (in training)
Dates held: 9/1997 through 10/1997
Duties: I helped move business from a home-office to a storefront, answered phones and greeted customers, and used Quickbooks to create P.O.'s, do payroll, and track spending. I was also responsible for filing, purchasing, returning bad equipment, etc. I was also being trained to install hardware, make and run CAT-5 cable, and how to set up computers to form a network .

Prairie State College:

Position: Computer Lab Aide
Dates held: 9/1995 through 9/1997
Duties: I helped students in the use of lab computers and printers, performed basic hardware, software, and printer troubleshooting, and was responsible for routine maintenance procedures such as cleaning, defrag, etc. I also tutored students in computer-related classes such as Microsoft Office and Introduction to Computers, and installed software as needed.

Education: I have completed the requirements for an Associate's Degree in Biology
